How is final product selection confirmed?

CAMDA reviews the application, fuel, electrical duty, site conditions and integration scope before confirming a project-specific configuration.

Why do some downloads require contact details or approval?

Each document has a CMS access level. The server validates the current version and issues a short-lived single-use link only when that access rule is satisfied.

How do I confirm the current revision?

The download catalog shows the current published version when a file-backed version exists. Request-only entries are reviewed by CAMDA before material is supplied.

What if my preferred language is not listed?

Use the document request path and state the required language. The catalog does not imply that an unpublished translation exists.

Can I request documents for older equipment?

Yes. Provide the model, serial information and required document type. CAMDA will confirm what controlled material is available.

How do I obtain the current brochure, model sheet or engineering guide?

Open the Downloads page and select the document. Public files are released directly; gated files require validated contact details; approval-required files are released only after review. Every link is tied to the current CMS version and expires after use.

Accepted files are stored privately, linked to the inquiry and placed in a security-review state before operational use.

What information does CAMDA need to select a generator set?

Provide the load list and starting sequence, voltage and frequency, operating duty, site temperature and altitude, installation type, fuel information, emissions or acoustic requirements, electrical architecture and expected service scope. Gas projects also need a representative fuel-gas analysis and variability range.

What is the difference between standby, prime and continuous ratings?

The rating describes the permitted operating duty under the applicable standard; it is not only a different label for the same power. Expected annual hours, average load, overload allowance and utility availability affect the correct basis. CAMDA confirms the applicable rating in the project selection.

Can ambient temperature or altitude change the available generator output?

Yes. Engine combustion, cooling and alternator performance can be affected by temperature, altitude and installation airflow. Provide the site design conditions so CAMDA can apply the correct derating and package review.

Which gas-analysis fields are required for a gas generator project?

Provide methane and other major components, lower heating value, hydrogen sulfide, moisture or dew point, particles, siloxanes and other relevant contaminants, plus pressure, temperature, flow and expected variability. Include the sampling location, date and laboratory method.

When is gas preprocessing or purification required?

Treatment is reviewed whenever the delivered gas may exceed the engine inlet limits for moisture, particles, sulfur compounds, siloxanes, pressure, temperature or composition stability. The process can include filtration, dehydration, desulfurization, pressure regulation and monitoring.

How is the acoustic target for a silent generator package defined?

State the required sound limit together with the measurement distance, load condition, background-noise treatment and applicable method or regulation. The enclosure, ventilation, muffler and site layout are then reviewed as one system.

What is the difference between an ATS and a paralleling system?

An ATS transfers a load between two sources. A paralleling system synchronizes sources so they can operate on a common bus, share load or connect to a grid under approved controls and protection. Some projects require both functions.

Can multiple generator sets operate in parallel?

Yes, when the generators, alternators, controllers, switchgear, protection and operating sequence are engineered for the same system. The project must define unit count, reserve, synchronization, load sharing, low-load strategy and failure behavior.

How does CAMDA confirm an emissions requirement?

Provide the applicable limit, pollutant, reference oxygen, test method, site jurisdiction, fuel, engine duty and exhaust conditions. CAMDA then defines the treatment scope and contractual test basis for the selected project.

Do the SCR figures in the brochure apply to every generator and site?

No. They are source references for the published system. Final NOx and ammonia-slip obligations depend on the engine, fuel, exhaust flow and temperature, duty cycle, reference condition, reagent system and agreed test procedure.

What should be complete before generator commissioning starts?

The approved drawings, settings and test procedure should be available; mechanical, fuel or gas, cooling, exhaust, electrical, earthing and control interfaces should be complete; safety controls, test load, operators and witness arrangements should be ready.

How are preventive maintenance intervals determined?

The final plan combines the approved equipment manuals with calendar time, operating hours, starts, load profile, environment, fuel quality and condition evidence. Standby, prime-power and variable-gas applications can require different inspection depth.

What information is needed for a spare-parts request?

Provide the generator model, engine and alternator serial numbers, controller type, required part number or clear photos, quantity, site country and urgency. If available, include the original CAMDA project or equipment reference.

When can CAMDA confirm delivery lead time?

Lead time is confirmed after the selected equipment, quantity, package, controls, documents, test scope, delivery terms and production schedule are reviewed. A catalog model alone is not enough to promise a shipment date.

What is the warranty period and what equipment is covered?

The applicable sales order, contract, accepted technical scope and component documentation define the period, start date, covered equipment, exclusions and claim procedure. The website does not replace those documents with a universal term. Submit the order or project reference so CAMDA can identify the correct basis.

What evidence should be included with a warranty request?

Provide the equipment and component serial numbers, project or order reference, commissioning or handover date, operating hours and duty, event time, alarm and event export, controller settings backup, photographs, immediate actions, maintenance history and any relevant fuel, gas or environmental evidence.

What should be done before resetting the controller or dismantling a component?

Make the equipment safe, then preserve the original alarm and event sequence, current settings, operating readings, photographs and equipment identity. Do not dismantle, dispose of or return a component until the agreed inspection and authorization path is clear, unless immediate safety action requires it.

Why is the generator model alone not enough to identify a spare part?

A generator model can be delivered with different engine builds, alternator frames, controller revisions and project accessories. Provide the generator-set, engine and alternator serial numbers, controller model and revision, visible part number and clear photographs so compatibility can be checked against the installed configuration.

How is a recommended spare-parts kit defined?

The kit depends on equipment identity, unit count, duty, operating hours, site access, service capability, supply-chain risk and recovery target. Commissioning spares, routine service items, repair parts and critical-recovery stock should be classified separately before quantities are confirmed.

What should an installation handover record contain?

Record the approved drawing and configuration references; equipment identity; foundation, alignment and access; cooling, ventilation, fuel or gas, exhaust and drainage checks; cable, earthing, neutral and protection tests; I/O and interlock tests; photographs; open items; restrictions; responsible owners and retest requirements.

Which records should be retained in the generator operations logbook?

Retain operating hours, starts, load and key readings; fuel or gas condition; alarms and event exports; controller settings changes; inspections; work orders; parts used; measurements and samples; ATS or paralleling tests; defects, corrective action and return-to-service evidence.

What is the difference between biogas purification and gas preprocessing?

Purification is selected to change raw gas toward a defined downstream gas quality and can include desulfurization, compression or carbon-dioxide removal. Preprocessing protects the generator inlet through filtration, dehydration, pressure and temperature conditioning, contaminant control and monitoring. The required train depends on the raw-gas envelope and end use.

Which reference conditions must accompany an SCR emissions limit?

State the pollutant, units, reference oxygen, dry or wet basis, temperature and pressure basis, test method, engine model and load, fuel, exhaust flow and temperature, stabilization time, sampling arrangement and responsible witness. A number without this basis cannot be treated as a complete acceptance requirement.

Do the brochure emissions figures become guaranteed values for every project?

No. They remain source references. Final contractual limits and ammonia-slip obligations require the selected engine, fuel, load range, exhaust conditions, reagent and catalyst design, reference conditions and agreed test method to be confirmed for the project.
